Custom77 was created in 2007
We were then both guitarists from the same band (Counterfeit), had a lot of vintage
equipment and wanted to work in this field.
We had some experience in studio and live (by our experiences and those of the
groups that we were hanging with)
The brand was created to respond to two requests:
- Live musicians having a “big” (expensive) instrument but who need a second spare
guitar, not ruining the moral during the end of the concert if they have to use it.
- Beginners who will not necessarily see what is an instrument that sounds good as
they generally have few references.
From there, we put our efforts to make instruments that sound good and do not need
to be ashamed, live or in studio.
November 2008: Release of the Lust For Life
Late 2008 we released our first truly personal model : The Lust For Life
August 2011 : Release of the Roxy Hollowbody, the Watcher T-Sonic and Watcher DL3
May 2012 : Launch of the brand Third Eye Guitars: 3YE
3YE will grow on metal guitars typed with models such as London’s Burning Baritone.
Models with 7 and 8 strings are now under consideration.
The first signature model comes with Baritone from Eric Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!
October 2012 : The first Custom77 store opened in Lyon (France)
Since the projects continue, new guitars are being prepared, the brand grows in
England and in the USA.
